Tell us a little bit about you. Where are you from?
I am born and raised in Davao City, Philippines and lived with my grandparents since birth. I have six dogs and one senior dog who just turned 14 years old this year (2023)! Also, I am a Licensed Civil Engineer in the Philippines.

Why do you do what you do? What motivates you?
Where did your passion come from?
I really did not plan on staying for long at Soul Seed since my initial purpose of working is just to sustain myself before taking the licensure examination. But after a few months of working for Soul Seed, I began to love what I am doing, what Soul Seed is doing, and the community that it is building. Every day, I’m always excited to work with women entrepreneurs. Seeing their faces lit up because of the excitement of the ideas they have for their businesses slowly turning into reality motivates me to do my work!
I just knew what my passion is when I started working with Soul Seed, that is helping other women entrepreneurs build their businesses and be successful on their own.

What has been the hardest part of your journey so far?
The hardest part of my journey so far is experiencing the Imposter Syndrome – an uncomfortable feeling you experience when you think you’re unqualified and incompetent. But I was able to overcome this because of my Soul Seed Family. With the trust that the team is showing me, always acknowledging my efforts, and having an environment where saying positive affirmations and boosting someone’s confidence is a thing on a daily basis.

I am lucky enough to witness and be part of how Soul Seed Academy started with doing business coaching only at first to slowly building and establishing its current business model. Eventually, Sarah realized that it’ll be nice to expand Soul Seed by offering different kinds of services that’ll help a business build up their technology foundation such as but not limited to website building, video editing, and graphic design.
What did you build in Soul Seed Academy?

What does healing the world look like to you?
As a dog lover, I’d like to compare healing with a stray dog’s life. Despite being abused and shooed away by some people and other stray dogs causing the dog to create mistrust to people coming their way, yet when someone shows kindness by giving the dog a treat/food, it will easily wag its tail and show its affection. I hope that people will also learn from these dog’s approach in every challenging situation – that is to continue to live life and try to focus on the good and not be resentful to the universe.
