At times, navigating a social media presence for your business can feel like pushing a giant rock up a steep hill. In our modern age, it’s become typical to see brands post all-day and every day. You may think, “I don’t have time for that!” The truth is: You’re right! While bigger businesses are able to hire whole teams dedicated to their marketing, your marketing endeavors begin and end with you. That’s why we want to provide you with a few tips that will strengthen your social media presence, without adding a ton to your plate.
#1 Create a simple business profile with basic details.
On your desired platform, start a business profile that shares basic details such as your company name, location(s), phone number, and a link to your website. It may even be helpful to make a couple of posts covering the services you offer and an introduction to key members of your staff. Be sure to use relevant hashtags so you’re discoverable.
Information like this can stay up forever and be updated easily. Having all of your business information on one page will be beneficial when you take the second step.
#2 Encourage friends, family, and clients to join your efforts.
Whether they share a post that you’ve made or tag your business on their own profile, having a few more hands on deck will be fruitful. This can be especially helpful if you are a business that produces tangible items such as clothing, pottery, or jewelry.
For example, if a friend is using your hand-made plates at Thanksgiving and uploads a picture of her spread withs your business tagged in the photo, the people that follow her can click on that tag and have the information they need to purchase their own items right at their fingertips!
#3 Network in a way with which you’re familiar.
It’s likely that you, personally, already follow brand and creator accounts that are similar to your business. Use your business profile to do the same!
When you use your business profile to engage with niche content through likes and comments, you’ll make yourself known to the people who follow that account and they’ll be more inclined to check out your business.
