What could you do in 6 months?
In January of 2022, Lexi had an idea. She wanted to know if travel could be more than just pretty sights. She wanted to understand and experience the history and the culture of the world. Travel became a priority for her and she wanted to share that with others. Her dream was to create an easy, exceptional way to travel to other countries and discover the history and passion of the people. But where do you start with such a massive idea?
Luckily, Lexi was introduced to the Soul Seed Academy program. Finally, she was surrounded by people who believed in her harder than she believed in herself. She was given structure and support and in only 6 months she launched her business and already has clients.

Question 1
Tell us a little bit about you, Lexi! Where are you from? Where did you grow your passion for travel?
I'm from Rexburg. It's this small town in Eastern Idaho. I always wanted to get out of Rexburg. Even in high school, I wanted to travel but we never had the means growing up. I was able to take a few trips to different states in the United States. I went to college at Idaho State University but I never excelled in college. I couldn't care about school. I tried taking classes in a few other places like Montana and Utah. I was also indecisive in my career. My sister jokes that she can't think of any job I haven't done. I tried everything. I hated not being in control of my work and my time. I have always wanted to be the boss and build a team. I had no idea where to start. I had all of the effort and motivation but none of the direction. Soul Seed Academy was exactly what I needed.

What did you build in Soul Seed Academy?
This whole process has been hard and scary and completely nerve-wracking. But it has monumentally changed my life. Not only did I build my business with them but I also have more physical and mental health. Soul Seed helped give me the foundation and support I needed. I met people here that believe in me and encourage me. I need people in my life who let me know that it's ok when it’s hard and remind me to stay on the path. I can now create the life I have always wanted to live. On top of that, I built a beautiful website, a branding guide, and a video with the team.
What did you build in Soul Seed Academy?

I believe travel is one of the best ways to make long-lasting friendships and become more invested in the world and the people in it. The most well-rounded people I know are people who travel often.

Healing the world starts with connection. It starts with the people around you and with the experiences you have with them. It starts with understanding the realities of others. Find love and connection with everyone you interact with. It’s about having amazing experiences with people.

What has been the hardest part of your journey so far?
Oh 100% it is staying on track. Building a business is scary and there are times I have gone online and looked at places that are hiring. It would be so much easier to just get a normal job. You get nervous because at first, you don't have the income. In the beginning, you are working with just the building blocks and the foundations. I am so grateful for the ladies I worked with. I have all this effort and they told me what to do with it. I received so much emotional support from the team and the other ladies in the cohort with me. The team is incredible and so kind. The other ladies are now my good friends. It is so powerful to work with friends that have similar goals as you. People you can talk with about what you are struggling with and they understand you.

Where do you get all of your energy?

I used to be fear-based. I didn't feel like that life was attainable. But now I believe I can do whatever I want. I am willing to put in the work and if I can do that then I can live my dream life.
