It Takes A Village: Leveraging Community as a Business Owner

Would you rather have 100 acquaintances who sorta-kinda care about you or 10 loyal friends who are willing and able to carry you through any setback?

We can’t hear you through the computer … but we’re gonna hope you chose the latter!

Every great entrepreneur knows that the value of community lies in its quality, not its quantity.

In a society that’s becoming increasingly obsessed with vanity, big numbers can seem more valuable to growth than dependability.

You may boast 3,000 followers but notice that only 30 of them are actively engaged. This isn’t failure, it’s a chance to level up.

You see, engagement is evidence of connection … and connection is currency.

Currently, we’re all being conditioned to chase the fragile and fleeting thrill of visibility. We crave applause but miss out on building alignment.

Entrepreneurship will test you. There will be launches that flop, ideas that stall, partnerships that dissolve, and seasons where your confidence wavers.

In those moments, you won’t need 100 people to “support” you from a distance. You’ll need 10 who call you, challenge you, pray for you, invest in you, remind you who you are, and hold you accountable to the vision you want to abandon.

A quality community does three important things …

#1 – It sharpens you.

The right circle won’t just clap mindlessly – they’ll gently correct. They’ll ask the hard questions and refuse to let you operate beneath your potential.

#2 – It sustains you.

Real supporters don’t disappear. They show up consistently, not conditionally.

#3 – It multiplies you.

Aligned voices speak highly, even when you’re not around to listen. This is what creates sustainable momentum.

Instead of devising a plan that gets more people to notice you, ask how you can better serve the ones who already do.

Instead of chasing volume, build value. Instead of collecting contacts, cultivate community.

When setbacks come, your success won’t be carried by the loudest crowd. It will be carried by the strongest circle.

So choose depth, alignment, and value that 10.

Your future self will thank you.

We invite you to start finding your community by attending our upcoming Social Media Workshop.

On Monday, March 16th at 9:30 a.m. or Thursday, March 19th at 6:00 p.m. (MST), learn what it takes to build a community that sticks by you through every season.
